Ceilidh band based in the North-west of England
About us...
The band has been playing in one form or another since the mid-1990s, with James at the heart of things, squeezing tunes out of a variety of boxes and at events in many surprising places.

We're currently ...
Ed on guitar, fiddle & vocals, Fiona on bass, James on melodeon, accordion & concertina, Nick on whistles and percussion, Philip on percussion and mandolin, Rob our caller, and Steve on guitar and vocals

What we offer

We have a repertoire that includes dance tunes (mostly English - some our own compositions) for ceilidhs and songs and tunes that can be enjoyed just as well from a seated position.

We've played at weddings, civil partnerships, birthdays, fundraising socials, etc... and by and large are willing to do so again.

We can provide a full evening's music for dancing, a 'listening' evening and all variations between.

Where we play

  • Mostly around the North West of England - particularly Greater Manchester.
  • With lots of notice and encouragement and promise of a good audience we can be persuaded to travel further afield.
  • Village halls, churches, marquees, arts centres... so long as there's enough space for the six of us and our kit (we like stages!), and enough space for dancing if you want it.

Coming up
Most of our gigs are for private events, but occasionally they are ticketed and open to a wider audience.  We'll list any such events here.
